I’m a PhD student at UT Austin working on robotics and machine learning. I’m interested in building artificial intelligence that takes an active role in exploring and understanding the world.
To this end, I design algorithms so that AIs can quantify their uncertainty and then take an active role in reducing it—all in a scaleable manner. My research involves machine learning, control theory, Bayesian methods, numerical optimization, and philosophy.
I also like meditation, writing, and exercising.
